We have programs for which we enroll high school graduates, as well as programs for those who want to continue their higher education!
BHMS Business and Hotel Management Institution annually prepares more than 1000 students from all over the world for an international career in the hotel and restaurant business. Together with Robert Gordon University of Aberdeen (UK), BHMS offers undergraduate and graduate programs in hospitality management, international business management and culinary arts. As well as MBA and Postgraduate Diploma programs.

BACHELOR DEGREE

Bachelor's dual degree from BHMS and The Robert Gordon University (UK). Two specializations to choose from: Hospitality Management and International Business Management. The course includes 18 months of academic studies and the same number of paid internships in Switzerland or abroad.
The full course of the program lasts three years. At the end of the first year, students receive a Diploma, the second - a Higher Diploma, the third - a Bachelor Degree in the field of hotel management or international business management.
Graduates receive a double bachelor's degree - a diploma from BHMS and The Robert Gordon University (UK). Students are recruited 8 times a year. The cost of the course includes all room and board expenses during your studies. This is one of the best choices available in Switzerland.
Diploma
The first year program is designed for high school graduates planning a career in hospitality, tourism or international business. The course is built taking into account the basic requirements of business programs and includes such disciplines as:
  • Introduction to hospitality
  • Business ethics
  • Management accounting
  • Food and drink
  • German language and more..
After 6 months of study on campus, students go on a six-month internship at one of the restaurants or hotels in Switzerland in order to apply the knowledge gained and earn real experience.
For admission to Diploma you need:
  • Successful completion of grade 11 of high school
  • IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
  • Age from 17 years
Higher Diploma

During the second year of study, students deepen their knowledge in the field of sales, management, marketing, personnel management, and service.

The course includes such disciplines as:

  • Sales and Marketing
  • Design of hotels and restaurants
  • Law
  • E-commerce and more..

After 6 months of study on campus, students again go on a six-month internship at one of the restaurants or hotels in Switzerland.

For admission to the Higher Diploma you need:

  • Completed first year of study (Diploma) under the Bachelor of Arts Degree program at BHMS (or equivalent)
  • IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
Bachelor Degree
Upon successful completion of the second year at BHMS, students must choose to specialize in the third, final year of the undergraduate program: Hospitality Management or International Business Management. The curriculum is built taking into account the basic requirements of international business and includes such disciplines as:
  • Strategic management in the hospitality industry
  • Hotel retail management
  • Personnel Management
  • International Business
  • Business correspondence and more..
After 6 months of study on campus, students go on a final six-month internship. BA Degree admission:
  • Completed the second year of study (Higher Diploma) in the Bachelor of Arts Degree program at BHMS (or equivalent)
  • IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

MASTER'S

Master's degree with a double degree from BHMS and The Robert Gordon University (UK). There are two specializations for masters at BHMS:
1) International hotel management;
2) International business management.
The course includes 6 months of academic studies and 6 months of paid internship in Switzerland or abroad. Graduates receive a double diploma from BHMS and The Robert Gordon University (UK).

Classes start 3 times a year. The course offers a great price inclusive of all costs - one of the best options available in Switzerland.

For admission to the master's degree, you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • RGU-BHMS PG Diploma or Graduate Certificate
  • IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

MBA with double degrees from BHMS and York St John University (UK).
Three additional majors from BHMS:
1) Hotel business;
2) Innovation and entrepreneurship;
3) International marketing.
In the course of training, students improve their academic performance, professional and communication skills and acquire the knowledge necessary to organize their own business or effective management. The course consists of 6 months of academic studies and 6 months of paid internship in Switzerland or abroad. Upon completion of the course, students receive a double diploma from BHMS and York St John University (UK).
The curriculum is built taking into account the basic requirements of international business and includes such disciplines as:

We carry out 2 enrollments of students per year. The cost of the program includes all household expenses and medical insurance.

For admission to the MBA, you need to have:

CULINARY ACADEMY

The full Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts program lasts three years. At the end of the first year, students receive a Diploma, the second - a Higher Diploma, and the third - a Bachelor Degree in the field of culinary arts.
The course consists of 18 months of academic and practical training and 18 months of paid internships in restaurants in Switzerland and abroad. The teachers are first-class chefs with many years of experience in the best restaurants in Europe and the world. Practical training takes place in BHMS's own modern kitchen.
We recruit culinary students 8 times a year and offer the all inclusive system, when the cost of the program already includes accommodation and meals, uniforms for working in the kitchen, a personal set of knives and medical insurance.
Diploma in Culinary Arts

The first year of study at the BHMS Culinary Academy introduces yesterday's students to the basics of culinary skills, the field of public catering and the restaurant business. Students acquire basic skills during practical training in BHMS's own educational kitchen and consolidate them during a six-month paid internship in restaurants, cafes and bars in Switzerland.

The curriculum is built taking into account the basic requirements of the international restaurant business and includes such disciplines as:

Admission to the Diploma in Culinary Arts requires:

  • Successful completion of grade 11 high school

Higher Diploma in Culinary Arts
The second year of study at the BHMS Culinary Academy allows students to deepen their basic knowledge and focuses on practical training. An in-depth study of cold shop techniques, recipe development, modern cuisine creation, and a chocolatier course are all taught here. The second year program also includes a 6 month internship in a professional kitchen.

Preparatory Programs

The BHMS Business & Hotel Management School series of programs is designed for those whose level of English proficiency does not allow enrolling in BHMS, whose academic level does not allow directly enrolling in a master's program and those who have received secondary specialized education and are planning to study at BHMS. For those who have a university degree (in any specialty) but have no experience in cooking and those who want to spend the summer with fun and benefit for their future career.
Preparatory English Program
The program is perfect to improve your English, meet people from different countries, and get to know Switzerland better and includes:
  • 3 months of English classes in Lucerne for those planning to apply to BHMS Development of reading, listening, writing and speaking skills
  • Classes with a teacher 15-20 hours per week from Monday to Friday
  • Individual approach to each student

Graduate Certificate
A program for those who want to prepare for admission to a master's degree. The 10-week Advanced Admission Preparation Program for non-eligible students includes 4 modules in Hospitality Industry Fundamentals, Marketing, Finance and Event Management. For admission, you must successfully complete 2-3 courses of a university in any specialty, work experience 2-3 years. IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.

Postgraduate Diploma in hotel management

The program is specifically designed for those who do not have completed higher education, but at the same time have experience in the hospitality industry, as well as for those who, with a lower level of English, want to thoroughly prepare for admission to the Master's program.

The course consists of two parts - 6 months of theory and 4 months of paid practice. During the course, the student will gain knowledge in the field of tourism and hospitality in general, marketing, communications, work with personnel. And he will also be able to choose 7 additional courses from the list:

Postgraduate Diploma in Culinary

The Postgraduate Diploma in Culinary Arts program is designed specifically for those who have graduated, but want to radically change the direction of their own career and turn their love of culinary into a profession. The course combines practical training in the kitchen, as well as management disciplines and the hospitality industry.

The course consists of two parts - 6 months of theory and 4 months of paid practice. In addition to the main program, students can choose two more courses:

  • Culinary business analysis
  • Combining food and drink
  • Consumer behavior
  • Personnel management in the hospitality industry

Learn or advance in German, French, Italian, Chinese and Spanish.

To be admitted to the Postgraduate Diploma in Culinary Arts, you need to have a Bachelor's degree in any field or a Diploma in Culinary Arts and 2 years of experience in food service. In addition, an English level of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent is required.

Summer school

This is a two-week orientation program for high school and high school students to:


  • Define your career goals and understand what it takes to achieve them
  • Test drive the tourism and hospitality industry
  • Chat with students and staff of BHMS, find out all the details of the educational process and internships
  • Feel what it is like to live and study in Switzerland and Lucerne

The cost of the program in 2021 = 3'490 CHF.

If, within 2 years after the end of the summer course, a student decides to study at BHMS on an academic program, then we refund up to CHF3000 in the form of a tuition discount.

To enroll in the Summer Program, you need to be at the age of 15 and speak English at the Pre-Intermediate level.
